As the Head of PA&E at BI, Keri leads a team focused on supporting BI’s patient centric culture, advancing the science of patient input and developing best practices, tools, resources and standards for patient centricity and patient engagement. 
Keri has over 28 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, 22 of which have been in Patient Advocacy.  Keri began her career as a Sales Representative with Ciba-Geigy and later joined Boehringer Ingelheim where she proposed a position to serve as a liaison between the AIDS activists and the company.   Keri later expanded her role and established an HIV Community Affairs team.   After 15 years in HIV, Keri served as one of the founding members of a centralized function for patient advocacy and professional medical associations at BI, called PAR.  As a part of the PAR team she has gained global and U.S. experience across many therapeutic areas. Her work in patient engagement 5 years ago resulted in the establishment of BI’s Patient Affairs & Engagement (PA&E) CoE in 2018.  Keri gives credit to the HIV activists she worked with years ago for teaching her that gaining patient input early, often and throughout the lifecycle, is critically important to drug development and our ability to deliver on patients’ unmet needs. 
Keri earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business at the University of San Diego and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
